How to convert an hourly rate to a salary
Multiply your hourly rate by the hours you work each week, then by the weeks you are paid in a year. For a full-time job on 37.5 hours a week and 52 paid weeks:
Hourly rate × hours per week × 52 = yearly salary
To go the other way, divide your yearly salary by 52 and then by your weekly hours. If you work 40 hours a week, a £39,000 salary is £39,000 ÷ 52 ÷ 40 = £18.75 an hour.

Does holiday pay change the calculation?
If you get paid holiday, you are paid for all 52 weeks and the standard calculation applies. If you are paid only for hours worked (for example on a zero-hours contract with holiday pay rolled up), your annual figure depends on the hours you actually work, so enter the weeks you expect to work.
